Made by Sharply Labs

Built by people who actually listen.

OVO began with a familiar frustration: a carefully collected music library should not feel like a second-class citizen on a modern device. We are building the player we want to use every day—one that respects the collection, the device and the act of listening.

Sharply Labs designs focused software for people who care about the details. OVO is our expression of what a personal music player can feel like across Apple devices.

Questions

Good to know.

Straight answers about what OVO plays, where it runs and how it sounds.

What is OVO?

OVO is a music player for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch that keeps local music files at the center while bringing Apple Music, SoundCloud, synced folders and direct streams into one listening experience.

How do I play my own music files on an iPhone?

Import them into OVO. You can bring files in from the Files app or an iCloud Drive folder, transfer a collection from a computer, or connect a WebDAV folder. Imported music is browsable by album, artist, song and playlist.

Can I use OVO as an offline music player on iPhone or iPad?

Yes. Files kept on the device play offline with no connection. Connected services and live streams still depend on their source and network availability.

Is OVO a cloud music player for iOS?

OVO works with cloud storage through Files and iCloud Drive synced folders and WebDAV folders, and it syncs your OVO library between your Apple devices with iCloud. Music kept on the device stays playable offline.

Can OVO play MP3, FLAC and lossless audio files?

Yes. OVO plays MP3, AAC and M4A, plus the lossless and uncompressed formats ALAC, FLAC, WAV and AIFF.

Can OVO import music from the Files app or iCloud Drive?

Yes. You can import albums from the Files app or an iCloud Drive folder, and you can connect a synced folder so its contents stay available as it changes.

Does OVO sync my library between iPhone and iPad with iCloud?

Yes. OVO uses iCloud to keep your OVO library in sync between your Apple devices, so the library you build on one device is there on the next.

Can Apple Watch play local music without the iPhone nearby?

Synced local files can play directly on Apple Watch. Apple Music and stream sources play through the paired iPhone and remain controllable from the Watch.

Can OVO combine local files with Apple Music and SoundCloud?

Yes. Apple Music and SoundCloud sit alongside your own files in the same player, so you can move between sources without changing apps.

Can OVO play direct stream URLs or internet radio?

Yes. Paste a direct stream or station URL and it plays with the same controls as the rest of your library. Live streams need a network connection.

Does OVO support WebDAV music folders?

Yes. You can connect a secure WebDAV folder you maintain and reach the tracks inside it from the player.

Does OVO include an equalizer, bass booster and volume booster?

Yes. OVO includes a 10-band equalizer, Bass Boost and Volume Boost so you can shape playback for your headphones, speakers and recordings.

Does OVO download Apple Music tracks for offline playback?

No. OVO does not present Apple Music tracks as downloads. Apple Music playback follows Apple Music's own behaviour and availability, while files you import into OVO stay on the device.

Is OVO available on Mac?

There is no native macOS app. OVO runs on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
